Cast Away is an American movie released in 2000. It was directed by Robert Zemeckis. It stars Tom Hanks. He won the Best Actor award at the 58th Golden Globe Awards.
The main character is Chuck Noland. He had to fly to Malaysia on short notice for work during Christmas, but the plane crashed due to accident caused by bad weather. He was the only one who survived. He arrived on at deserted island.
In the film, the magnificent natural scenery of the deserted island is beautiful. The film shows the beauty and harshness of nature. It makes me think the most beautiful thing in the world is the world itself. The acting of the lead actor is also very true and wonderful. The appeal of this film is the main character’s positive attitude. He is the only one left in the wilderness in a harsh environment. But he doesn't give up hope and uses his courage and wisdom to try to survive. I felt it is important have the mindset to try and find hope from the movie. And it makes me realize the horror of leaving civilization. I think it is really difficult for a single person to face nature alone. I think this movie is very worth watching.
